There are people who are arrogant about dating dozens if not hundreds of others. They think it shows how their masters, how best-selling them. Feel great about themselves deflect dating becomes a game, compete with themselves (and the others) about how much their date, how many people they will meet weekly, monthly and yearly.
But then, the end result is often no relationship, no real intimacy, no serious ties and long-term meaningful.
Do you go out on a lot of dating or not, whether you are selective or not, if you really want to find partners to develop a healthy and satisfying intimacy, there is at least one lesson that might want to keep in mind: Always behave on your date as if you a beginner.
That is:
If you have been dating for some time, you may have noticed that it is easy and convenient for you to always behave on a date with exactly the same way with your behavior on the previous date. You think you know what you can expect, you feel you already know the rules of the game, after all, you've done it a few times, so now you have another chance, another date, another person to be seen with just one easy!
But this is a lesson that you need to know: as long as you do a new date exactly the same way as previously, there is no reason to believe that at the end of the meeting you will be one step ahead of the previous date and have a better chance for something meaningful to be developed.
The reason is, if you feel that after going on a lot of dating, dating has become routine, one more person to be found, you do not give yourself a chance to really be there with attentive, really able to feel what is happening in between you and others. And that attitude is counterproductive to succeed in the development of serious intimacy.
Treat each new date as if you are a beginner
If you really and honestly want to find a partner to develop a serious relationship, you have to go on a date with a feeling as if you are a beginner, treat each new date as if it was a new experience, seriously trying to find the people you meet, pay attention to your own reactions and behavior. Only by being authentic with yourself and with your date, and only when you are going to treat your date with dignity and respect, and only then that you will carefully listen to whatever your date notified about himself.
And it only if you are wise to consider whether it makes sense to try to extend the date into the second meeting, which hopefully leads to a meaningful intimate relationships in the future.
