Applications dating, Tinder, was sued by one of its founders, namely Whitney Wolfe for committing sexual harassment and sex discrimination, before he left the company in April 2014.
Wolfe sued Tinder, its parent company IAC, and its sister company which is aimed at Match.com Chief Marketing Officer Tinder, Justin Mateen. The lawsuit alleges Mateen has done a rough and often send emails and messages threatening tone, after his relationship with Wolfe began to deteriorate.
Citing pages Guardian, Thursday (07/03/2014), Mateen also accused of demoting Wolfe co-founder of the position because she is a woman. The outhouse over the IAC immediately respond to a lawsuit from Wolfe.
"Immediately after receiving the allegations contained in the lawsuit Wolfe, Mateen we suspended pending an internal investigation ongoing," said a spokesman for the IAC to the Guardian.
During the investigation process, Mateen proven to have sent a private message to Wolfe inappropriate. "We strongly condemn it. But we assert that it is a case of personal and has nothing to do with the Tinder," added the spokesman for the IAC.
Wolfe is known as the man who was instrumental in the success of Tinder, including choosing a name and set up a marketing strategy. Previously, Wolfe relationship with Mateen very close, which began in February 2013.
But by the end of 2013, they began a tenuous relationship after Wolfe expelled from Tinder. One reason is because Facebook and Snapchat not have female leaders.
